HTTPS RTT · multiple samplesippbxHOST VoIP Test separates speed from real-time connection quality.
Analysis of the measured connection for hosted PBX and real-time voice traffic.
Measures network behavior affecting conversational AI, token streaming, persistent sessions and responsiveness under load.
When all testing is finished, a completion window will appear automatically. You can then review your complete results, and a full ippbxHOST Engineering Report will be emailed to the address you provided.
Do not close or refresh this page until you see the “Comprehensive Test Complete” window.Continuous browser-to-server HTTPS latency monitoring designed to expose intermittent instability that a short speed test can miss.
Start the five-minute test to look for intermittent latency, spikes and connection stalls.
Have an ippbxHOST engineer review your connection results and discuss VoIP, PBX, network or hosting issues.
Run the test to compare idle latency with latency while downloading and uploading.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR RESULTS
Internet speed alone does not determine whether a connection is suitable for reliable VoIP calls. ippbxHOST measures the network conditions that can affect real-time voice, including latency, jitter, packet loss and responsiveness while the connection is under load.
Latency is the time required for network traffic to travel between endpoints. Excessive latency can create noticeable conversational delay even when download and upload speeds are high.
Jitter measures variation in packet timing. Real-time voice works best when packets arrive consistently. High jitter can contribute to choppy, robotic or distorted audio.
Packet loss occurs when network packets fail to reach their destination. Voice traffic is particularly sensitive to packet loss because missing real-time audio cannot simply wait for retransmission.
Loaded latency measures responsiveness while the connection is busy. A connection may have excellent idle latency but develop substantial delay during downloads, uploads, cloud backups or other heavy traffic.
Connection stability combines important real-time characteristics to help identify a connection that may be fast but inconsistent. Stable packet delivery is especially important for business voice and video communications.
Mean Opinion Score, or MOS, is a commonly used representation of perceived voice quality. ippbxHOST uses measured network conditions to provide an estimated indication of expected VoIP call quality.
A connection can deliver hundreds of megabits per second and still perform poorly for real-time communications. Voice calls depend on packets arriving quickly and consistently. Congestion, Wi-Fi interference, packet loss, unstable routing, excessive jitter and latency under load can affect calls without dramatically reducing conventional speed-test results.
That is why the ippbxHOST test evaluates both traditional internet performance and measurements that are specifically important to VoIP, hosted PBX systems, SIP communications, remote extensions and browser-based real-time communications.
If users report delayed speech, robotic audio, clipped words, one-way interruptions or calls that deteriorate when the network becomes busy, testing the internet connection can help separate network quality problems from PBX, SIP trunk, handset and application issues.
ippbxHOST VoIP Test is designed for business VoIP users, IT professionals, MSPs and administrators working with hosted PBX platforms such as 3CX and Yeastar.
The Comprehensive Test begins with a full Internet and VoIP health assessment, followed automatically by a 5-minute stability analysis to identify intermittent latency, instability and stalls that a short test may miss.
Each authorization link permits one Comprehensive Test and expires after 24 hours. Another test requires another link.Your test will run in two stages.
Please allow approximately 5½ minutes for the complete test and keep this browser tab open.
